Reviews

I 'I have only used a few times, and it seems to do what he ' s to do. The calorie count is odd. I guess that counts the total amount that your body is burning all the time, not just while you 're exercising. I like it. No complaints.
I've used it for 2 months. No problems so far. Works well ..
P90X is a popular, and challenging exercise routine. Before starting P90X, there "fitness test" that must be taken to measure your readiness to conduct the program. For that test, and continuous assessment during the program, heart rate monitor is needed. R rif you read this, you may have explored many options out there to monitor heart rate, ranging from inexpensive to astronomical, the chest band flip-type type. I did the same thing. The results of the study is the purchase of two Monitor T5G971 Timex watches over ... I never was so beautiful and sexy wives and husbands silly and not very sexy. R rthe thing I like about this product is that the transmission of heartbeat signals from the chest to watch the band seems very reliable. Also, on a rubber band watch neat "core " is locked in a band excess food debris behind the buckle from sliding out of a small circle and threw himself about. I'm glad to be able to monitor heart rate and average direct, and track order cooldown. R rWhat I don 't like is that there didn ' t seem to watch enough documentation to explain how to use a different function. Maybe I 'm solid, but more explicit step-by-step instructions will help me. R rit doesn 't look too bad, either, so I'm comfortable just using this as just watching. It also has a light to make reading in the dark much easier. R rif you need something very sophisticated for marathoning, cycling or something serious, you may have to find something with more features of the data. However, athletes or sports for the average, these products do a great job at very reasonable prices. R rTake care and good luck on New Year 's Resolutions!
Not have any experience with a heart rate monitor, I'm looking for something simple and not too expensive. I read the reviews and CR Amazon.com 's high rating, and choose Timex for both functionality and price ($ 45 vs. $ 70 on Amazon from Timex). Tubes do as advertised. It 's needed to really monitor themselves wet before exercising and watching the reports from all the information I wanted, including a warning when the heart rate go above or fall below the desired level. It also has useful features heart rate recovery during the period of one minute is useful for cardio exercise.
This product is for small to medium-sized people only. I wear a 44 coat, and it would not fit around my chest. I should have paid more attention to the reviewer who mentioned this fact. Why a company would like Timex fail to mention this is Puzzling at best.
Wrist unit could not go to work. Tried a new battery. I was finally able to set the time. He never did get united signal from the chest of wrist unit. Returned bought Timex and Polar, which works well.
And HRM bounght to replace it which I liked very much, but that broke irrevocably. I have not taken enough time to determinate what he did and showed on its screen, since 2-3 I 've owned have all been satisfactory in the past and R I naively thought that it would. Ri am very disappointed that the screen only shows the heart rate (when set) and does not give you the opportunity to see in real time when you're exercising. You can hold the button to see the time, but this does not remain on the screen. Therefore, it is difficult to do intervals, see when he 's time to go home, etc.. R ri have also found this show takes a lot of sweat to begin transmission. I know that the band may be dampened short-circuit, but I have not had a problem in the past, since I sweat a fair amount. R rLastly, the number of calories seem extremely low. I 'll go over the interval treadmill (jogging) for 40 minutes and go out with @ 150 calories, although I ' ve spent more than 2 miles. R rthe good stuff? Clear display, watch Rugged, comfortable band.
It looks good and works well. I 've used a calorie counter different in the past and was expecting a similar system, but without the daily barrage of my team. To my dismay I 'I have discovered that using the heart monitor strap 24 / 7 is not really comfortable. I started getting a rash. So now I only use it in my training classes - if I remember to go put on the board before I was out the door. On the upside, I really find features like the Nite-Glo button very convenient and practical, and overall I like the ease of getting my heart rate at the touch of a button, but I have yet to ferret through all the tedium and instructed to take my heart rate in all these different ways of putting in the necessary data for accurate calorie burning, so part of ISN 't work for me.
After I first purchased this monitor It did not work so I had exchanged it with no difficulty. For personal reasons I did not try and use it for a month or so. When I tried it out after this period, it did not hit any measures. So I was either dead or the monitor was not working! I was careful not to wet the electrodes and any thing that would stay with the Interfaith signal. It did not show that I had a prize. I then had my son-in-law try it out. It worked fine on him! I immediately tried it on myself and it did not show in the award. Put it back where my son-in-law and it worked fine. I 'll see if I can contact or return this document Timex.
The package for monitoring heart rate is okay. Not great but it does get the job done, so in that regard, it gets a thumbs up rating from me but not real high thumbs up. The chest strap is a little cumbersome to attach in that it does not do so easily. You have to get this small tooth inside the attach ring then adjust accordingly until you have a click and fit. That 'sa bit tenuous but perhaps par for the course? Then too, the chest strap tends to sag (when attached snuggly Even before the fact) during heavy exercise so you find yourself having to 'pull it up ' so to speak to the desired location under the heart. r rNext, the wrist clock / monitor itself does not register immediately. I 've since gotten accustomed to this foible but in the beginning was wondering if something was amiss. Until one 's heart starts to increase its activity under physical stress of some kind, all one gets is a --- on the clock face until it Toggles to the time of day. My resting heart rate is about 40-44 and the unit wouldn 't start tracking until I broke the 54-55 mark, so keep that in mind when you first use the device. r RMY workouts are usually, but not always, a combination of anaerobic (weight training) and aerobic (elyptical machine). It 's helpful to know where you are with each and the monitoring device is effective in each instance. Intersting to note that the aerobics machine I use at the gym automatically senses the chest strap pulse readings and its rate reports are consistent with the wrist monitor. I think, given a choice to unring the purchase, I might opt for the wrist type but only readout device, having no experience with those or their accuracy, am 'kind of ' pleased with this unit.
The Timex T5G971 proved a very satisfactory substitute for 6 years, Timex Ironman Triathlon that I bought in 2003. GH as the relatively small size of the T5G971 and its light weight and elements of feedback which provide financial details such as the peak heart rate, pulse time in the target range, calories burned and data recovery . Even if I miss the chronograph function of the Ironman triathlon in 2003, his absence is not a pitfall. Tirade Amazon shopping experience has been very satisfactory. One day after placing the order for the relatively slow browsing, I needed to speed up delivery times. Amazon customer service has been exceptionally responsive and I received the watch a little earlier than the revised delivery request.
I bought this item to replace a Nike heart rate monitor. I Don 't much like the Timex Why ' s less robust than previous clock (feeling plastic) and has much less flexibility / fewer features. We estimate how many calories it ve burned. "If that 's all your after, might be a good option.
My boyfriend and I both use this monitor both operating and in the gym and she told us everything we need to know. If you 're looking for something that will keep track of your progress, look elsewhere as this monitor does only one workout at a time (if you start training, details of previous session erase). Also, if you have small wrists, the band may be too big for you. I wish this one had a hole more ...
Heart function only occasionally worked. May have just battery, but they shouldn 't they also send the old battery. Watch band looked very cheap. The plastic tape will not last long.
I've been using this product for 2 months, as a training tool for mountain biking. HR has been keeping me without any problems, which allows me to use HR zone as a motivational tool. Pretty cool to watch - are also water-proof. My wife also used it while walking, to check the calories burned. Good buy.
I bought this heart rate monitor a few weeks ago to help relieve my workouts. Personally, I was very interested in the function of burning calories. I chose this monitor because I got lucky with other Timex products, reviews were good, and this monitor allowed me to put my weight for more accurate reading. R rOverall, I really like this product. I can use it for my own interests, and appreciate that there are tons of other options that I can use if I decide to do so in the future (such as alarms to go below a certain heartbeat). I had no problem to get the sensors to work, and have no other problems with the watch. R rthe only reason this isn 'ta 5 Consideration of the stars is the lack of instructions. The instructions are step by step, for most parameters. However, the manual does not tell you how to configure your weight. I'm not all that electronically inclined, but I could find after fiddling with the buttons for a few minutes. If I remembered what I did, I post. I think I had to push the recall button. However, he didn 't end up being so difficult to understand, but it is a problem. R ri highly recommend this product.
I purchased this product and I am very disappointed by its calories burned inflated calculator. There 's ask sex or age. Do your research. The calorie counter is worthless.
I am using the Timex T5G971 personal heart rate monitor. I find it is easy to use and is very accurate when I have compared it to other heart rate monitors. My only complaint is that I have been unable to get the audio alarm to work.
I 've just had this HR monitor for about a month, but have been very satisfied. I find it easy to use options / settings (sometimes my children have to change settings on products that are not intuitively easy to program). He also does not ¨ Ã 't raised on other neighboring HR monitors until now, something I found to be a problem with my monitor last year. Would recommend!
This is the basic heart rate monitor that functions as advertized. This device is easy to manage and easy to use and provides accurate heart rate read-out and calories burned. Monitoring the level of recovery is a good additional features for entry-level devices. Hours more compact that a lot of HRMS and comfortable on the wrist. Buttons easy to access and make INDIGLO face easy reading in low light conditions. The watch tracks the elapsed time in heart rate monitor mode but there is no independent stop watching so if you're looking for features such as stop watch and lap timer with split is not a unit for you.
Timex is a name I 've trusted for 30 years and here is another great product worth the price. User friendly interface that is straight forward and logical. Clear screen and with a dedicated light orange button again. Tho large main indicator, the display smaller items can be larger. All and all, Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports Personal Heart Rate Monitor Watch is easy to love and depend on. I recommend as one of the best in price range.
I 'm not going to waste your time glowing over the pluses of this product. Rather, I 'll go through the negatives that you see in the reviews here, and tell you whether you need to worry about them. R r-Yes, the instruction and configuration is a little convoluted. But that really doesn 't matter. If you 're a power user, you ' ll have the patience to work through it. If you 're a casual user (me) you just have to hit the on / off button and you ' re good to go. R r-The chest strap is generally very good. What 's great is it has a faint audible beep on the strap itself for every heart beep. So if the rhythm sounds right, then you know it 's properly detecting heart beats. To get it working, usually I just wet my finger then wipe it on the strap once-over. The key is to then work up a light sweat. Once that happens, you shouldn 't have to Fuß with it anymore. It does need moderate moisture to start, but then only light moisture to keep it going. I tried, for example, wearing it before driving to the gym, but then my chest surface dried up, and the monitor lost pace. So I went to the Restroom, moisturized it a little, then did some light cardio to get a light sweat worked up, then it was good to go. Either way, this is not a problem. You may just have to fiddle with it for the first couple times you try it. After that, you 'll have a routine that ' s good.
My first HRM. It works well, and keep me motivated during my workouts to be with my area of HR. RRecommended for anyone who runs or going to the gym. Your Workout pace will be measurable. GH as yourself that you can change the batteries when needed.
This is my first HRM. After some research I found that Polar is not for me (just not worth the hassle of sending the clock to manage to get the batteries). I considered another contest OMRON HC100 which seems to be OK, but does not give the average heart rate, peak heart rate etc. .. (According to the opinions of others). I also found that Walmart was similar to the sale of HRM but you have to touch the clock to get it to display the heart rate (yuck !!!). finally decided to go for the T5971 which offered a simple, functional, no-nonsense way to check the heart rate during exercise. R RtheR are a couple of cons to this CE. You have to strap the sensor wet at the clock to pick up signal from the transmitter, the amount of calories burned is now more real than the calories burned. My elliptical machine was showing 441 calories burned for a 30-minute workout, but this guy was showing more than 540 calories. The first flaw is common to all HRMS, I think. R rFinally for the price I paid, I really think this is the best value Heart Monitor available out there. R rEnjoy your workout
I bought this for my husband almost 3 weeks. He only wanted to use it when I walked. After 3 weeks, still hasn 't been able to understand how we adjust to show your heart rate. He is 69.
